Academic Requirements for Admission in PIEAS Undergraduate Programs

At least 60% marks or equivalent in both Matriculation/O-level and Intermediate/A-level or equivalent examinations with the following subject combinations:

Program	Major Subjects
BS Engineering	Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
BS Computer & Information Sciences Program	Physics and Mathematics
BS Physics Program	Physics (Pre medical candidates who have taken additional paper of Mathematics are also eligible)

● Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) holders, are also eligible
● Those waiting for their results may also apply. However, the intermediate/A-level or equivalent result with at least 60% marks or equivalent is required at the time of joining the BS program
● HSSC Pre-engineering background applicants can apply to all programs
● HSSC Pre-engineering background is a must for applicants to the BS Engineering degrees
● HSSC Computer Sciences or Physics applicants can apply to BS Physics and BS Computer Science degrees

PIEAS merit calculation

PIEAS follows a very strict admission criteria that is based on merit, which is calculated as follows:

PIEAS Admissions on SAT basis

PIEAS also reserves some seats for admissions through SAT examinations, for which all Pakistani nationals of both Matric/O Level streams are eligible. Candidates should score a minimum of 2000 in the SAT II for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics level 2. A separate merit list will be compiled for SAT applicants. Score should be sent to Registrar before the admissions deadline, and the PIEAS code is 7272.

Steps for applying to PIEAS

● Application submission will be online only. Hard copy applications are not acceptable.

● Fill in and submit the online application form
● Upload recent passport size color photograph and academic documents
● Print Bank Challan, make payment in Bank and fill in paid bank challan details in your profile. The application processing fee must be deposited in the PIEAS University online Account No.00427991660803 (Title of Account: PIEAS-APF) All HBL Branches in Pakistan. There will be no bank service charges for submission of processing fee through any branch of HBL
● Print Call Letter (which will be made available after verification of fee through bank)
● Appear for Test at the venue and date mentioned in your call letter
● Merit List will be placed on PIEAS website within 3 weeks after test
● Keep visiting your profile on our website for any update before and after Entry Test

PIEAS Test Pattern

There are a total of 100 question in the PIEAS entry test. The test has negative marking. Each correct answer gives you +3, each incorrect answer gives you -1 and each unanswered question gives you 0. Time duration is 3 hours.
The test will be MCQ bases covering the following subjects:

● Mathematics (Matric/O-level level of difficulty) (30)
● Physics (30)
● Chemistry / Computer Science (20)
